Genealogy of the Claflin Family in America

Work is still on-going on the Wight genealogy and matching names and generations.

The genealogy database is an on-going process. The official Claflin records are kept under The Master Genealogist (TMG) Software and are not provided to the public. The TMG files include information on spouse, business, and other ancesters not descended from Robert. If you have family history records, please bring them to the Reunion and spend a few minutes ensuring the information is correct.

This is a partial list of direct descendents of Robert, sorted by number.

  • First column is the number from the Charles Wight Genealogy of the Claflin Family, L-JP short for Lynn Family Tree collected by John Pillis, or CFA for surveys conducted by the Claflin Family Association.
  • Second column is First Name
  • Third column is Middle Name
  • Fourth column is Last Name
  • Fifth column is a 1 which represents Robert the first known child in Generation 1
  • Sixth column is the second generation and the numbers represent which of Robert's children by age
  • The next 11 columns represent successive generations
  • Columns seventeen and eighteen are birth place
  • Column nineteen is birth date
  • Column twenty is date of death
    •

    The red blocks indicate dead ends in the family tree (died without children). The light blue indicates questions in the order of siblings.
